    Wednesday in Reception

We started the day with a Wake and Shake and we looked at our class timetable to see which activities we would be doing. We all now have a carpet spot and during the morning session we played musical spots to see if we could remember where these were. We started to learn the Phase 2 alphabet sounds. Today, we were introduced to the letter Ss and we discussed words that begin with that sound. We also had a visit from Mrs Speakman, who works in our computer room. For lunch toda

Today in reception we have been getting to know each other and making new friends. In the morning we went on a walk around school to look at the different rooms. We followed a map and talked about what happens in each room and who works there. We all went to the dinner hall for lunch. For lunch today it was pizza or burritos. In the afternoon we welcomed another 17 pupils to reception. Well done everyone – see you all tomorrow! #Reception

    Goodbye Miss Ritson

It's been Miss Ritson's last day in RRT. We've had some nice activities planned for her including a farm treasure hunt where the children had to find animals around the school and Miss Ritson had to find presents hidden behind them. Miss Ritson has enjoyed the last eight years at Avondale school and is sad to say goodbye. A big thank you to everyone who sent much appreciated gifts. #Reception
