    Geography news

Following a fantastic summer our children have embraced the Avondale Adventure and shown aspects of this throughout a variety of learning in Geography. Lessons have included learning about where they live in relation to their local area in 2N and 2F before thinking about it within the UK and Europe in Yr 4. 5W and 5C have researched and produce some fantastic work around natural disasters with 5W delivering a humorous, inspiring and informative assembly to the whole scho

Absolutely fantastic football played last night. The team ‘smashed it’ against both St Edwards’ and St Joseph’s, with 15-2 and a 10-1 wins. Mr Clegg was super proud and said ‘This is the best I have seen them play so far this season and some of the goals were tremendous’. Well done to all team members. #Sports #Year5 #Year6

    BRFC Match Day Experience

We were extremely fortunate to be able to take 10 Yr 5/6 pupils to the Blackburn match on Tuesday night. We took part in a CPR workshop, waved flags on the pitch and three of our lucky pupils even got to walk out onto the pitch holding one of the players hands. We all had a fantastic night and were superb role models for Avondale. #Sports #Year5

Great teamwork from 2 of our digital leaders who are entering a robotics competition. The robotic design competition is aimed at helping schoolchildren up and down the country to hone their scientific thinking and develop their talent in engineering.
