Class RST Weekly blog
This week in Phonics we have learnt Set 1 letters – s / a / t / p – please don’t forget to sign into our Home Learning page (which is found on the Reception webpage) to reinforce this learning at home. In Literacy, we completed our own version of We’re Going on a Chocolate Hunt – we had lots of fun writing this story and came up with some amazing ideas! We then went on a chocolate hunt around our outdoor area. In Maths, we have been ordering the Numicon shapes from smallest to largest. Mrs Brown, Mrs Speakman and Mr Wilding all came to visit us this week and Mrs Brown read us a lovely story about a mermaid. A huge thank you for all your kind donations for Harvest. On Thursday, we all enjoyed a yummy fish and chip lunch. We talked about how lucky we are to have food and that some people are not as fortunate. We also talked about how hard the farmers work to produce our food. We learnt the song “Dingle, Dangle Scarecrow”. During snack time we have really enjoyed looking at and sharing our family photographs – remember to send them in if you haven’t done so already and then we can add these to our class album. Every afternoon we have had “Key Person” time – we have enjoyed getting to know each other more and have been sharing our “All About Me” sheets. We have also be talking about what makes up happy, sharing stories and playing listening games.
We hope you enjoy looking at some of our photos from this week. Next week we will be learning all about Autumn!
Enjoy your weekend and see you all on Monday.
