Following a fantastic summer our children have embraced the Avondale Adventure and shown aspects of this throughout a variety of learning in Geography. Lessons have included learning about where they live in relation to their local area in 2N and 2F before thinking about it within the UK and Europe in Yr 4. 5W and 5C have researched and produce some fantastic work around natural disasters with 5W delivering a humorous, inspiring and informative assembly to the whole school and their parents on Earthquakes.
Class novels are closely linked to our foundation subjects and this also allows children to learn and be exposed to a variety of new language which is dripping through into their writing and literacy work.
Autumn 2 will see pupils continue on our adventure next term with pupils continuing their learning thinking about how and where our food is produced, Mountains and places in Europe and our weather patterns.
