Ben Laycock

I have been at Avondale for 10 years now initially in Yr. 6 before moving down to Yr.3.  During my time at Avondale I have led a number of subjects including Geography and Computing and also developed my self through a variety of qualifications.

Prior to teaching I worked across a number of different sectors including manufacturing, local government and the sport and leisure industry which has given me plenty of experience and knowledge to bring to teaching and also my role as a governor.

Away from Avondale I have Betty, George and Stan who are enable me to work as a taxi driver and sports coach in my free time as well as enjoying travelling and exploring the world as a family.

At Avondale our we are a  true family where everyone looks out for each other. I love to watch the children progress through school  on their own Avondale Adventure and it gives me great delight that I have played a small part in their development and making them a great member of not only our school community but also of the Darwen  Community.
