Chicks in year 2

Year 2 had a lovely surprise this morning when they arrived at school. 2 chicks had hatched out of their eggs. During the day, the children have enjoyed seeing a further 5 chicks hatch. They peck their way out of the shell and stay in the incubator for 3 hours. After that, they can be transferred to the brooder which is their home for the next week.
