In today’s computing lesson, we brought history to life by animating The Great Fire of London . The children created animations showing how the fire started in a bakery and spread through the city. It was a fun way to combine computing skills like sequencing and storytelling with learning about history. Seeing their animations unfold helped everyone understand the speed and impact of the fire—making history both visual and memorable!

This week in Computing, our Year 2 children have been exploring the exciting world of digital animation ! Using simple animation software, they learned how to bring their ideas and stories to life, one frame at a time. The children began by designing their own characters and backgrounds, then experimented with making small changes between each frame to create the illusion of movement.
