Red Nose Day Maths in 1B

We have learnt which numbers are odd and even. We became friends with 'Odd Todd' and 'Even Steven' and we decorated them with odd and even numbers. We also made sure that they had red noses to fit with Red Nose Day too. #Year1 #Maths #1B #Rednoseday

A morning without electricity in 4B

4B have spent the morning without electricity. They have been writing and doing maths by candlelight and have realised how much we normally use electricity in the classroom and at home. Our classroom certainly smells nice and feels cosy though. #4B #Year4 #Science #Maths #Writing

    Maths Week 3H

We have really enjoyed the rest of our Maths week. In Maths, we have been looking at 3D shapes and finding them around school. We had a go at making our own using Playdoh and Polydron. In PE, we created our own times tables and point scoring games. Linked to our Science, we used timers to measure our heart rates to understand what happens to our bodies when we exercise. #Maths #MathsWeek #Year3

Maths Week in Year 2 - Monday

What a wonderful week of Maths we have had! We started the week with a pattern morning, introducing the day with the book 'Pattern Fish,' which led nicely into an afternoon of designing our own patterns for a competition. On Tuesday we focused ourselves on money and looked at the value of coins and challenged ourselves with some money word problems. In PE we used the 'Supermovers' maths dances from the BBC website. By Wednesday we were onto grid references and found treasure
