The debating team have had a wonderful day in their first Knockout Debating competition.
The motions for the debates were:-
This house would make the world vegetarians.
This house would scrap SATS.
This house would ban all social media for under 16's.
All of the children showed off their amazing oracy and debating skills. Well done to the winner of the knockout competition SMSJ Blackburn.
Avondale then competed in the boxing debate against 7 other schools. Farah and the rest of the team were amazing! They didn't let the other school get a word in edgeways. They were victorious and won the competition.
Mrs Pickup, Mrs Duckett and Mr Simpson are so proud of you all!
